Buyan is a queer illustrative blackwork tattoo artist. Their subject interests include biodiversity, mythology, folklore, animals, plants, artist collaborations, and occasional colour pieces. In their spare time they’re learning the lyre and French. They work at Patchwork Art Studio in Vancouver, BC, Canada (map below). Tattooing since 2015.

Buyan is a certified GMB Fitness personal trainer. They’ve always had a natural curiosity and passion for movement: growing up climbing trees, running barefoot, being playful into adulthood.

They want to help tattoo artists and creatives gain physical autonomy to continue to do what they love. As well as trans, non-binary, queer, neurodivergent and otherwise marginalized people move with confidence. They’re available for private coaching in Coal Harbor neighborhood. Certified since 2024.
