BOOKING + PREPARATION + STUDIO

BOOKING

  • What are your pronouns?
    They/He.

  • Will you do culturally specific tattoos?

  • Yes, if you belong to said culture if it is BIPOC. I will do tattoos from Eurocentric cultures such as Greek, Roman, Celtic, Norse, Irish etc. I am Russian and Tatar (indigenous Turkic people).

  • Flash is non-repeatable .

  • Customs are OPEN Here

  • I do NOT share designs prior to custom appointments. Any small adjustments can be made on the day of together. Be sure you want the work of an artist before you book and that you trust their process.

  • I will only tattoo people who are 18+

  • Deposits can be made by e-transfer, or PayPal (under “friends and family”).

  • Final Payments can be made cash.

  • A GST (goods and services tax) charge of 5% is added to the total of each tattoo.

  • A non-refundable deposit of $100 is always required to book. $200 deposits will be required for large proposals. This covers drawing time and small revisions. Any large revisions cost an additional $50+. No shows, last minute cancellations, or more than one reschedule will require a second deposit to be paid to rebook.

  • Guest Spot travelling rate for CUSTOMS is $300 an hour.

  • I charge per project for flash and hourly estimates for custom. Cost depends on size, complexity, and placement. Available flash is priced at the above link and available to be reserved with a deposit through the site. I do NOT exchange or change flash, be sure you want the flash you chose, or a second deposit will be required. You will be contacted with studio address + policy before your appointment. It is unnecessary to email me, as I will be in touch with you.

  • Flash will only be held up to 3 months max then another deposit will be required.

  • Clients MUST be vaccinated. Proof will be required on a digital consent form.

  • If travelling a negative covid test (rapid or pcr) is REQUIRED prior to your appointment.

  • For customs when you book you are provided with a quote and there is a $300 minimum per project for custom. The deposit goes toward the total cost. Large projects can be broken up into smaller sessions to make them more feasible.

  • I WILL DO tattoo customs on a CASE BY CASE basis. If you are interested in this please email me with your request and details. IF MY WORK IS COPIED YOU WILL BE BLOCKED.

  • Please send me healed photos! Have someone else take it for you straight on and in natural lighting.

  • I like to tattoo animals, beasts, myths, humanoid critters, surreal narratives, and large florals, plants, folklore, biodiversity, patterns, abstract shapes. Large projects and interesting placements are of great interest. Sizing and payment breakdowns can be discussed.

  • I will not accept proposals for fine line, realism, tiny tattoos, geometric, or bouquets of different flowers.

PREPARATION

  • Come well fed, hydrated, showered, sober, with deodorant and brushed teeth. Avoid substance use (such as alcohol) for 24-48 hours prior and after if possible to avoid being hungover/having thin blood/having healing affected.

  • DO NOT come to your session after a hike, exercising, sweating, or smelly, without having showered please. You do not go to your doctor without showering, or the dentist without brushing your teeth, please do not arrive to a tattoo without preparation.

  • You can take 1 Advil or Tylenol to help with pain/swelling (exceeding 1 will thin your blood). Wear loose, comfortable, dark clothing (ink will stain clothes). Consider where the tattoo is going: do not wear tight pants if you are getting a thigh piece/bring shorts.

  • You can exfoliate the skin where the tattoo will be going 1-2 days prior to your appointment (do not do the day of), as well as moisturize leading up to your appointment to avoid the skin being dry and dehydrated.

  • Bring headphones if you’d like to listen to your own audio. You can also bring a book, a game, a show, so long as it does not cause movement in the place that will be tattooed (reading a book while your bicep is being tattooed isn’t plausible). There’s no pressure to be talkative if you are not conversational when getting tattooed, please communicate your needs.

  • Double masking with one medical mask and one cloth mask, or wearing a N95/KN95 or equivalent is required during your session (one will be provided if you forget or don’t have one).

  • Bring your own water, beverages and snacks.

  • Touch ups are free within one year. There will be a charge of $50+ after that time. Email a photo of your healed tattoo at one month or later for your touch up, if you are unsure if you need one, or to just provide a healed photo.

  • It is OKAY to get someone else to touchup your tattoo if it is simple and you are located out of province or country from where I am. I trust other artists to have the skill set and deduce what the touch ups needs. Ask other artists in your area if they are willing and comfortable to do so. It will likely cost you something for time and supplies.

STUDIO

  • I work at Patchwork Art Studio located at 311 Water St #610, Vancouver, BC V6B 1B8 (address instructions found on my Instagram highlights) Website + Instagram

  • I use Kuro Sumi vegan ink, latex free, single use, hypoallergenic products. Let me know of any allergies you may have in our email correspondence. Nipple pasties and disposable thongs are also available for use if needed for the placement of the tattoo and client comfort.

I have been/will be vaccinated, can I get a tattoo?

  • Avoid being tattooed less than two weeks prior to your vaccination or two weeks post vaccination to avoid any adverse or heightened effects due to your immune system being temporarily compromised.

What is your COVID-19 Protocol?

  • I am vaccinated: have received 3 doses, and am monkeypox vaccinated.

  • Clients must wash/sanitize their hands upon entry.

  • Clients must have their own water and food to bring.

  • Clients must be alone during their appointment.

  • I will wear a mask at all times during the session, as well as appropriate PPE.

  • I will provide ample time between each client I see to prevent overlap.

  • Each client will fill out an electronic consent form at their appointment.

  • Any client from out of country or province must be vaccinated, have boosters if available, and provide negative covid testing prior to the tattoo appointment.

  • The client must not have symptoms of COVID-19 to book an appointment (if you do prior to your appointment you will be rescheduled to a future date at no extra charge to you).

Can I bring friends/family/pets?

No friends or family are accepted to join an appointment. I am not allergic to animals and am open to pets joining if they are not disruptive and are low support as I cannot have my focus divided.

Accessibility Information:

  • Music / sounds can be adjusted if needed.

  • People are welcome to bring their own headphones, music, books, movie, comfort and stimming objects which can be used so long as they do not move or shake the body in a way that would interfere with the process of tattooing.

  • There is also no pressure to talk during your tattoo, please just let me know if you prefer to not be conversational.

  • I do not smoke.

  • A step-stool is available to reach the massage bed.

  • Massage bed supports up to 500 pounds.

There is an elevator to access the studio.

  • Is tracking included for orders?

    • Tracking is NOT included. It can be purchased as an additional cost in my shop.

    • I am NOT liable for any missing or damaged items due to the postal service.
